The beautiful Bellarine Peninsula lies to the east of Geelong, and is washed by Corio Bay to the north, Port Philip Bay to the east, and the Bass Strait to the south. The city of Geelong is at its western end, and the attractive town of Queenscliff with its historic fort, is at its eastern end. The ferry to Sorrento departs from Queenscliff.
